Why Prescribe Nature?
Improve Patient Health Through Nature

What is ParkRx?
Park prescriptions (ParkRx) are an evidence-based approach that encourages healthcare providers to prescribe time in parks as part of a patient’s treatment plan. By prescribing nature, providers can support improved physical and mental health outcomes for patients.

A growing body of research shows that spending time outdoors in green spaces can improve overall health and help prevent chronic disease. Key Health Benefits for Patients:
🌿 Mental Health and Focus
❤️ Cardiovascular Health
🏃 Physical Activity
🛌 Sleep Quality
👨‍👩‍👧 Social Connection
